Skin Cancer Presentation w/ American Cancer Society

With Vincent Smith, Andy McDonough, and Terry Golden, Kate's Foundation distributed 80 SPF-30 sunscreen lotion bottles, 70 educational brochures and ABCD T-shirts, hats, and towels.

Operating an Melanoma Awareness table with Marilee Celistino, Kate's Foundation distributed 225 tubes of SPF-30 sunblock, 225 pieces of melanoma literature, 2 wall posters, 50 tanning bed fact sheets, and 50 Kate’s Foundation brochures.

Thurgood Marshall Elementary School

Kate's Foundation presented the elementary school with 4 wall posters, 100 tubes of SPF-30 sunblock, and 200 'Melanoma ABCDs' bookmarks.

A 1-hour presentation with Terry Parker, MPH, RN, COHN-S, Kate's Foundation distributed SPF-30 sunscreen lotion bottles, educational brochures, and self-screening tip sheets, and we operated a Dermascan.

Mater Dei Fashion Show
Middletown, NJ - March 5, 2002
Distributed 150 tubes of SPF-30 sunblock and melanoma information, reaching 150 17-year-old girls.

Keyport Kiwanis Club
Keyport, NJ - March 6, 2002
Kate's Foundation spoke about the dangers of melanoma and presented melanoma prevention tips at the Keyport Kiwanis Club. We distributed bottles of SPF-30 sunscreen lotion, t-shirts, hats and beach towels, Kate’s Foundation brochures and “What you should know about Melanoma” provided by the American Cancer Society.

Ocean Township High School
Ocean, NJ
We presented the Advanced TV Class with Kate's Foundation beach towels and SPF-30 sunblock in appreciation of their efforts in producing a 30-second and 60-second video spots that will run at the school. The video features 11 student faces citing facts about melanoma and a tag that includes our website url. The production has a serious feel to it as one face melds into the other - boys, girls, different ethnic looks and voices.

New Jersey Marine Science Consortium
Fort Hancock - Sandy Hook, NJ
Kate's Foundation distributed bottles of SPF-30 sunscreen lotion and “What you should know about Melanoma” brochures, provided by the American Cancer Society, to consortium attendees.
